Premier Shows has a stellar record with respects to safety.  We are pleased to say that we have not had a major ride related injury since the companies inception.  We have won insurance safety awards and we continue to strive to meet the belief that even a minor abrasion is preventable.  Part of our success is due to purchasing rides that have strong safety records according to the actuarial data inspection.  Before a ride is operated it is thoroughly checked by one of our inspectors who has basic knowledge of the ride.  To add structure to this procedure, an inspection sheet is utilized which covers electrical, blocking, and mechanical.  To view  an actual ride inspection sheet used for Bumper Cars and Zipper, click here.  You are welcome when we play your fair to peruse the daily inspection sheet to set your mind at ease that the rides are safe.  Lastly, there is also a copy of the "Certificate of Liability Insurance", click here.

ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Premier Shows is powered by two sources of electricity.  One source of electrical power emanates from generators owned and operated by the carnival which power the 3 phase rides and the second source emanates from a direct connection into secondary high lines.  The second procedure is very simple and takes approximately 45 minutes to make the connection splice.  It is usually done by the electrical company serving your community.  A simple phone call to the company headquarters describing your needs along with the date and place is usually more than sufficient.  A technical description is as follows:  The power truck is equipped with an elevating cross arm which elevates up to 22 feet above ground level complete with bells, fuse doors, and surge arrestors.  Inside the power truck is a 100 KVA single phase 240 volt transformer with a 32 tap regulator an meter coupled with main disconnects and wire connections.  The power truck accommodates either a 2400 or 7200 volt WYE or DELTA system.

The reason for this second source of power independent from the first source is basically for safety.  It insures at some level continuous power to the carnival in case of a brown or black out and that the second source of power also provides the necessary energy for ice machines, freezers, showers, living quarters and the smaller rides when generators are not in operation.

SAFETY

At Premier Shows safety has always been foremost when developing policies. For people to truly enjoy the fun family atmosphere of our midway they must be able to set aside concerns about their safety while on the rides and throughout the midway.

Ride safety at Premier Shows ins ensured through: 1 Operator Training, 2. Daily Safety Checks, 3. Inspection by Certified Personnel and 4. Informing Public of Rider Responsibility.

1) Ride operators undergo extensive training which includes videos, manuals, and direct instruction. Each method stresses and reinforces customer safety.

2) All rides undergo a daily safety check in order to operate (SAMPLE). Ride operators are not allowed to seat riders until the check is completed and a written log is filled out.

3) A certified ride inspector is on duty at all times to periodically inspect all rides as well as to validate the daily checklists. The certified inspector has the authority to close any ride until safety concerns are satisfied.

4) Every effort will be made to inform the public of rider responsibility in safety matters. Rules will be clearly posted at each ride and at the ticket office and ride personnel will be encouraged to remind patrons of these rules. These rules are recommended by the ride manufacturer to ensure your safety.

Our commitment to safety has given us an exemplary record. We have never had an accident claim filed against us for rider injury. Indeed we have been the recipient of several awards for our safety record.
